After 19 years, EMMIS Triple A KGSR/AUSTIN Dir./Content/afternoon host JODY DENBERG has tendered his resignation.
DENBERG told ALL ACCESS, “This was 100% my decision. The time is right for me to take some time off and recharge my creative batteries. I have promised myself a minimum of one year without doing a darn thing. I accomplished everything I ever dreamed of … and lots I hadn't!”
EMMIS AUSTIN Radio VP and Market Manager SCOTT GILMORE noted “Jody’s vision for KGSR launched the station in 1990, and his passion and talent have been instrumental in the station’s ongoing success.”
DENBERG will stay with the station through KGSR’s 19th Anniversary Party on DECEMBER 5th. He will also oversee the NOVEMBER 27th release of Volume 17 of KGSR’s “Broadcasts” CD series.
No decision regarding a replacement for DENBERG has been announced by station management at this time.
DENBERG had spent 10 years at sister Rock station KLBJ before helping to sign on KGSR 19 years ago. He was PD at the station for most of that time before his most recent role.
