  UNIVERSITY OF PUGET SOUND noncommercial KUPS/TACOMA, WA has been named the winner of MTVU's 2009 Radio Woodie Award for college radio stations that support up-and-coming musical acts and champion artists before they achieve mainstream success.
  KUPS won a vote of college students that drew about 3.1 million votes.
