The 6th Annual Martinifest promotion at the MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM became a bit too much for the venue and the partiers to handle last month when the $30 for all you could drink ticket became too much of a good thing for some to handle, at the event put on by CLEAR CHANNEL/MILWAUKEE.
According to the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL-SENTINAL, "Some unruly guests accosted artworks, which have been taken off display for a checkup.People threw up, passed out, were injured, got into altercations and climbed onto sculptures.
CC/MILWAKEE Dir./Programming KERRY WOLFE was quoted as saying, "Hindsight is 20-20 . . . it was probably too cheap," speaking of the $30 tab for all those martoonies, er-uh martinis. WOLFE indicated a larger venue would be used next year.
