GMA Announces 2010 Calendar, No GMA Week

The GOSPEL MUSIC ASSOCIATION (GMA) announced its calender of events for 2010. Key events will include GMA DOVE WEEK, the 41ST ANNUAL GMA DOVE AWARDS and IMMERSE 2010.

Most notable on the calendar is the absence of GMA MUSIC WEEK. GMA has restructured the event to operate similarly to GRAMMY WEEK or Country music's CMA WEEK. The event will now be called GMA DOVE WEEK 2010. The week will kick off on MONDAY, APRIL 19th with the ASCAP CHRISTIAN MUSIC AWARDS and will also include an ARTIST SUMMIT and the BMI CHRISTIAN MUSIC AWARDS. The week will culminate with the DOVE AWARDS.

GMA DOVE WEEK will also feature showcases and professional networking opportunities. Most of these events will be operated independently. The GMA plans to coordinate and promote such events. Parties interested in hosting an event can contact ANGILEE SMITH at (615) 277-1376.

The IMMERSE event will return to BELMONT UNIVERSITY in NASHVILLE on JULY 28-31.
