A newspaper feature on one of OREGON's first legal online marriage ceremonies may have led the FCC to shut down a pirate FM radio station in STAYTON, OR.
The OREGONIAN reports that FCC agent BINH NGUYEN, based in the agency's VANCOUVER, WA office, showed up at the door of KEN CARTWRIGHT's KENC with notice that continued operation could draw a $10,000 fine and seizure of equipment three days after the article appeared in the OREGONIAN on OCTOBER 17th.
CARTWRIGHT and JAN CASTILLO got married online on OCTOBER 18th in an online ceremony broadcast on the station.
