The previously undisclosed price for which Brokered/Ethnic programming specialist PRINCIPLE BROADCASTING NETWORK is buying Spanish Adult Hits KCNL (LA PRECIOSA 104,9)/SAN JOSE from the ALOHA STATION TRUST, the trust formed to handle CLEAR CHANNEL spinoffs, is $5 million. The price is disclosed in the contract filed as part of the paperwork for the deal submitted to the FCC.
In other FCC action, the deal for THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA to acquire noncommercial KPDO/PESCADERO, CA from PESCADERO PUBLIC RADIO SERVICE, INC. in exchange for getting the station back on the air before its license was canceled has been called off, with the deal dismissed by the FCC last week.
ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE RADIO is selling the construction permit for a new noncommercial FM in FREDERICKSBURG, TX to LA PROMESA FOUNDATION for $5,000.
And BANGOR BAPTIST CHURCH is swapping FM translator W263AS/VASSALBORO, ME to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION in exchange for W227BE/ORONO, ME.
