Gary Slaight To Receive Humanitarian Award At Canadian Music Week

SLAIGHT COMMUNICATIONS President and CEO and former STANDARD RADIO executive GARY SLAIGHT will be honored for his humanitarian efforts with the Humanitarian Spirit Award at the CANADIAN MUSIC AND BROADCAST INDUSTRY AWARDS on MARCH 11th during CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK in TORONTO.

SLAIGHT, a four time CANADIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY AWARDS Broadcast Executive of the Year, oversees the SLAIGHT FAMILY FOUNDATION and serves as Director Emeritus of the SICK KIDS FOUNDATION, founded by STANDARD RADIO and continuing under STANDARD's acquirer ASTRAL MEDIA, on the board of which SLAIGHT serves.  SLAIGHT also sits on the board of SIRIUS CANADA.  He is sponsoring the rebuilding of four schools in the CONGO REPUBLIC in conjunction with WAR CHILD CANADA.
