Jesse Deer Dies from Swine Flu

CKRK (K103)/KAHNAWAKE, QUEBEC afternoon co-host JESSE "BIG SEXY" DEER died of complications from H1N1 "swine" flu. The MOHAWK tribe member was just about to turn 24. DEER, who was diabetic, had been in hospital suffering from the H1N1 virus and pneumonia. He was laid to rest in KAHNAWAKE on SATURDAY afternoon.

KAHNAWAKE media plan to establish a memorial scholarship in DEER's name, to be given out for the first time next fall. THE EASTERN DOOR, IORÌ:WASE (KAHNAWAKENEWS.COM), MOHAWK TV, KTV and K103 RADIO will each pledge $500 towards the award.
