The publishing divisions of WARNER MUSIC GROUP and SONY CORP.have jointly dropped a copyright-infringement lawsuit they filed against XM SATELLITE. According to BLOOMBERG.COM, the suit centered around the PIONEER INNO satellite receiver, that allows XM listeners to record and store songs.
The dismissal was approved by U.S. District Judge LEWIS KAPLAN in NEW YORK. Similar suits with XM were previously settled with the publishing arms of EMI GROUP LTD. and UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP.
