Former BAYLISS FOUNDATION President CARL BUTRUM has joined THE BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA as VP, responsible for planning and executing the organization's fundraisers and assisting in the overall fundraising and outreach effort.
"CARL brings a unique understanding of both the broadcast and non-profit industries," said FOUNDATION President JIM THOMPSON. "We are challenged with finding creative, new ways of generating funds, and I am confident that with CARL's talent and background, we will accelerate our ability to help those in our industry who need it most."
BUTRUM, also a former EVP, Dir./Sales for HISPANIC BROADCASTING CORP., SVP of the Corporate Division at KATZ MEDIA GROUP, and President of EASTMAN RADIO, said, "I have been a long-time supporter of the BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION, and I am looking forward to concentrating my efforts on raising money to support this great cause. The FOUNDATION's major events are well-known, and we can expand on that to build new programs that give the larger broadcast community a way to participate and contribute."
