RCS and DESTINY MEDIA have entered into a partnership to deliver new music to radio stations on five continents. Under the agreement, RCS customers will receive access to streams, album cover artwork and other metadata from the RCS website branded as MUSICPOINT, which is tightly integrated into SELECTOR software. Through the PLAY MPE system, radio stations will be able to download broadcast quality versions of songs securely into directories accessible by RCS products.
RCS Pres./CEO PHILIPPE GENERALI said, "With almost 187,000 tracks in the system and global agreements with the major labels, PLAY MPE is the right partner to securely supply new music to the thousands of stations worldwide that use SELECTOR to schedule their music. Our software is currently being used in more than 100 countries and this announcement will help our clients get the new music faster with DESTINY's PLAY MPE service and MUSICPOINT."
"We're extremely pleased to work with the RCS team and their industry standard tools," added DESTINY CEO STEVE VESTERGAARD. "A win-win for everyone, the agreement gives our label customers vast reach into a large number of international stations, while giving RCS customers instant access to the widest possible selection of pre-release music."
