WCTK Recognized By Association Of Fundraising Professionals

HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTK (CAT COUNTRY)/PROVIDENCE was recognized as the 2009 "Outstanding Philanthropic Business" by the ASSOCIATION OF FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONALS. The award was from the RHODE ISLAND Chapter and was for businesses with less than 250 employees.

WCTK was nominated by the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY because of its many philanthropic efforts, which include collecting more than 1,500 teddy bears to support DAY ONE AGENCY's teddy bear drive, raising more than $15,000 in monetary donation and international calling cards for military units overseas, and collecting 450 prom dresses for girls who otherwise would not have been able to afford one.

Morning show host TIM LEARY and Promotions Dir. BRIGET D'ANTONIO were presented with the award at the 2009 celebration of NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY DAY in RHODE ISLAND on NOVEMBER 24th.
