ChitownSmoothJazz.com Launches Hanukkah Channel

CHITOWNSMOOTHJAZZ.COM has launched a streaming radio channel featuring music devoted to the Jewish celebration of HANUKKAH. Titled "SMOOTH HANUKKAH," OM RICK O'DELL describes the online radio stream as "the first radio channel in the world devoted entirely to the wonderful music surrounding the Festival of Lights."

The channel features smooth and jazzy takes on traditional Jewish holiday songs by artists such as KENNY G, DAVE KOZ, BELA FLECK and BEN SIDRAN, along with new, original compositions.It's hosted by longtime CHICAGO radio and TV personality BRUCE WOLF.

"I've been playing CHRISTMAS music on the air since the early '80s," O'DELL said."Every year I get requests for songs pertaining to HANUKKAH. Trouble is, we never had enough HANUKKAH music in a contemporary vein -- until now.

"The marriage of Smooth Jazz and HANUKKAH has been nothing short of remarkable," he added. "In many cases, the result is simply entrancing. 'Smooth HANUKKAH' is the perfect complement to our other holiday channels, 'Smooth Jazz CHRISTMAS' and 'CHRISTMAS Instrumentals.'"
