ALL ACCESS sends prayers and condolences to the family of JACK COOKE, longtime bass player and singer in RALPH STANLEY's CLINCH MOUNTAIN BOYS. COOKE passed away TUESDAY (12/1) at a hospital in NORTON, VA at the age of 72.
In the early days of COOKE's career, he played for the STANLEY BROTHERS and in BILL MONROE's BLUE GRASS BOYS band. He later formed his own group, JACK COOKE AND THE VIRGINIA MOUNTAIN BOYS and also played in bands headed by EARL TAYLOR and The STONEMANS.
Visitation will be held TOMORROW (12/3) at HAGY & FAWBUSH FUNERAL HOME in NORTON from 5-7p (ET), with a funeral to follow at 7p (ET). Burial will be FRIDAY (12/4) at 11a (ET) at the HUFF-BRUMMITT CEMETARY in WISE COUNTY, VA.
