Former 'Drifting Cowboy' Big Bill Lister Passes

ALL ACCESS sends prayers and condolences to COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION OF TEXAS HALL OF FAME member BIG BILL LISTER, who passed away TUESDAY (12/1) in SAN ANTONIO. He was 86.
LISTER was hospitalized in ICU last month after becoming ill during the 2009 HEART OF TEXAS COUNTRY CRUISE (NET NEWS 11/16) . He was a member of HANK WILLIAMS' DRIFTING COWBOYS band and recorded "There's A Tear In My Beer," which later became a hit for HANK WILLIAMS, JR.
Visitation will be held FRIDAY (12/4) from 5-7p (CT) at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH of BOERNE. The funeral will be SATURDAY (12/5) at 10a (CT) at the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the HEART OF TEXAS COUNTRY MUSIC MUSEUM, 1701 S. Bridge St., BRADY, TX 76852.
