Comedians FRANK SKINNER and DAVID BADDIEL have inked a deal to cover soccer's WORLD CUP for U.K. national Rock station ABSOLUTE RADIO.
SKINNER, who hosts a weekend show for the station, and BADDIEL, his longtime TV collaborator on BBC2's "FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE" and ITV's "BADDIER AND SKINNER UNPLANNED," will offer podcasts and live shows from SOUTH AFRICA starting about two weeks before the tournament's JUNE 11th, 2010 start, with podcasts available starting 6a each day and broadcast the same evening.
The team did podcasts from the 2006 WORLD CUP for THE TIMES OF LONDON.
