CURB/NASHVILLE artist RODNEY ATKINS will headline a NEW YEAR'S EVE show in downtown NASHVILLE. The show will also feature Country band THE DIRT DRIFTERS and more acts will be announced. GAC's STORME WARREN will serve as a master of ceremonies for the events, which are free and open to the public.
The NEW YEAR'S EVE party will also feature fireworks and a "guitar drop." The event will take place on BROADWAY between FIRST and THIRD AVENUES.
BUTCH SPYRIDON, President of the CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU said: "We believe we can sell thousands of hotel rooms and give more people a reason to come downtown to celebrate NEW YEAR'S. We're taking a page from TIMES SQUARE, and giving people a good reason to come downtown. The weather might be bad and have some effect, but if you give people a good value, they will come. Cold won't be a reason to stay away."
