His arrest on SUNDAY didn't stop former PHILADELPHIA EAGLES wide receiver FREDDIE MITCHELL from joining DAN SCHWARTZMAN for a week's guest-hosting stint in middays on GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN-F (97.5 THE FANATIC)/PHILADELPHIA. "FREDEX" was arrested after a traffic stop on the BLUE ROUTE (I-476) in subirban PHILADELPHIA SUNDAY, when police found a warrant from INDIANA alleging that MITCHELL failed to pay child support. He was arraigned by video and released on $250,000 bail.
On the air MONDAY, MITCHELL joked about the incident and claimed that he was unaware he owed back child support. He said that the issue is with his daughter's mother and involves a custody dispute.
