Carson Daly Will Handle Wakeups

CBS RADIO Top 40 KAMP (97.1 AMP RADIO)/LOS ANGELES is adding CARSON DALY to host morning drive beginning MONDAY, JANUARY 4th, 2010. DALY returns to his radio roots in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA where, in the past, he worked for sister Alternative KROQ.

"It is very exciting to be back on the airwaves doing mornings on AMP RADIO and to be back in business with my friends at CBS RADIO," said DALY. "Now, not only can people fall asleep to my late-night show on NBC, but they can wake up with me on the radio, too. I'm thrilled to join a thriving new station in my own hometown."

After doing nights on KROQ, DALY became host of MTV’s Total Request Live. In 2002, he moved to late-night television for "Last Call with CARSON DALY," currently in its ninth season. "I’m psyched to once again be working with CARSON," said SVP/Programming and PD for 97.1 AMP RADIO KEVIN WEATHERLY. "He is a true superstar with undeniable energy and talent.
