PAYSON COUNCIL FOR THE MUSICAL ARTS, INC. is meking a "voluntary contribution" of $7,000 to the U.S. Treasury under a Consent Decree with the FCC. The deal settles allegations of underwriting announcement violations at PAYSON's low power noncommercial KRIM-LP/PAYSON, AZ.
The Commission also cancelled a $7,000 fine levied against WENNES COMMUNICATIONS STATIONS, INC. for a late license renewal application and unauthorized operation of Country KNEI-F/WAUKON, IA. The FCC found that WENNES did file an application on time but accidentally failed to file the proper filing fee with it; the Commission agreed with WENNES that the proper penalty is to accept the application and charge a late fee added to the regular fee amount.
