Condolences to family and friends of hit songwriter AARON SCHROEDER, who died DECEMBER 2nd of complications from Alzheimer's disease in ENGLEWOOD, NJ at 83.
SCHROEDER was best known for co-writing the lyrics (with WALLY GOLD) for an adaptation of "O Sole Mio" that became ELVIS PRESLEY's 1960 hit "It's Now Or Never." He also co-wrote PRESLEY's "A Big Hunk O' Love," "Stuck on You," and "Good Luck Charm" as well as the theme for HANNA BARBERA's "SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU?," and founded and ran MUSICOR RECORDS, which released hits by GENE PITNEY, who SCHROEDER managed.
