Pandora Targets In-Car Audience

PANDORA has designs on your car radio, according to comments by the customized streaming music service's CTO TOM CONRAD at the SAN FRANCISCO MUSIC TECH SUMMIT, who said that the company is working with FORD and other car makers on developing hands-free controls for users who listen to PANDORA on their mobile devices.  CONRAD noted that half of the system's mobile users are listening in their cars, but said that the compamy aims to have its service built into cars and available via subscription with costs bundled into the price of the car in the manner of satellite radio.

CONRAD indicated that the company would have announcements related to PANDORA's use in cars at the CES show in LAS VEGAS in JANUARY.
