Sir TERRY WOGAN, who will step down next week from mornings at BBC RADIO 2 after 27 years, was honored with induction into the RADIO ACADEMY Hall of Fame THURSDAY at a LONDON luncheon. WOGAN also received the PRS JOHN PEEL Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the event, with his successor CHRIS EVANS also in attendance.
WOGAN, who will receive more honors next week with the Freedom of the CITY OF LONDON and the raising of TOWER BRIDGE, will remain active with a weekend show for RADIO 2 in 2010.
