Former Sen. CONRAD BURNS (R-MT), the former Senate Communications Subcommittee chairman and a former broadcaster, is in a WASHINGTON hospital recovering from a stroke suffered WEDNESDAY night, according to the BILLINGS GAZETTE. Reports indicate that BURNS is in intensive care and suffered the stroke after an atrial fibrillation.
BURNS, 74, has been Senior Advisor at GAGE BUSINESS CONSULTING since losing his re-election bid in 2006. He founded the NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL NETWORK radio and television service in 1975.
