'Green Day: Rock Band' On The Way

HARMONIX, MTV GAMES, and WARNER/REPRISE are teaming to release a standalone edition of ROCK BAND devoted to GREEN DAY. "GREEN DAY: ROCK BAND," announced at SUNDAY's 2009 SPIKE Video Game Awards, will be released worldwide in 2010 for XBOX 360, PLAYSATION 3, and WII consoles; an additional three-pack of GREEN DAY songs from the album "21st Century Breakdown" will be added to the downloadable content in the ROCK BAND Music Store on TUESDAY (12/15), and the track list from the special edition game willbe exportable for play in ROCK BAND and ROCK BAND 2 on XBOX 360 and PS3.
"We've worked with the ROCK BANC team in the past year to enable our fans to play tracks from '21st Century Breakdown,' and we're excited to now be working on a game, spanning our entire career," said GREEN DAY lead singer BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG. "We want people to fire this up, choose their favorite GREEN DAY tracks, and play along with us as ROCK BAND avatars so they can feel what it's like to perform on stage as GREEN DAY."
