BROADCASTING AND CABLE magazine is reporting that THE WALT DISNEY CO. EVP Government Relations PRESTON PADDEN is exiting the company, relinquishing his duties this JANUARY with the intent to retire in JANUARY 2011.
B&C's JOHN EGGERTON reports that PADDEN, the former head of the ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT TELEVISION STATIONS and SKY BROADCASTING who joined DISNEY as its top lobbyist in 1998, has accepted an offer to join the faculty of the SILICON FLATIRONS CENTER at the UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO LAW SCHOOL as Senior Fellow and adjunct professor and will work on projects for DISNEY with KEVIN MAYER's Strategic Planning Group until a successor is named, with the group reporting to General Counsel ALAN BRAVERMAN until then.
