Ex-WTKSer Burke Pleads Guilty To Probation Violation

Former CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WTKS (REAL RADIO 104.1)/ORLANDO midday host SHANNON BURKE pleaded guilty today to probation violation charges stemming from the shooting incident in APRIL in which BURKE shot his dog in the leg and grazed his wife in the head with the same bullet.  BURKE told the court that he has since gone into ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS and is in recovery; he presently hosts a brokered weekend show on SALEM Talk WORL-A/ORLANDO.

BURKE is scheduled to start serving his six month sentence for an animal cruelty charge on DECEMBER 31st in a plea bargain reached last month.  His sentencing for the probation violation will be held on JANUARY 5th.
