SALEM COMMUNICATIONS News/Talk WNYM-A ("THE APPLE")/NEW YORK has hired syndicated Talk personality CURTIS SLIWA to do mornings starting JAN. 11th. The founder of the GUARDIAN ANGELS has been a Talk host out of his NYC home base for 18 years, most recently at CITADEL Talk WABC.
"CURTIS SLIWA is NEW YORK radio," GM SEAN O'NEILL said. "Returning CURTIS to mornings makes the morning commute worth listening to the radio again.”
"As of DECEMBER of 2007, my goal was always to return to morning drive radio in NEW YORK CITY," SLIWA said. "AM 970 THE APPLE has provided me the opportunity to once again be live and local in NEW YORK.”
"CURTIS brings real radio back to NEW YORK," PD PETER THIELE added. "The opportunity to return a real icon back to morning drive makes JANUARY 11th a date NEW YORK radio fans will circle on their calendars."
