NEW NORTHWEST BROADCASTERS AC KKSR/TRI-CITIES, WA has just flipped to Oldies "95.7 FUN FM," touting "TRI-CITIES' Greatest Hits." For the last two months the station has been running an all-CHRISTMAS format.
“In the beginning, 95.7 used to be an Oldies station, and quite a successful one, NNB TRI-CITIES VP/GM KURT LUCHS said. "Since we left that format, no other station has stepped in to fill the void, so we've decided to take it back. However, this is not an exercise in nostalgia. The music is from the '69s and '70s, and those are tunes almost everybody loves, but the content and attitude are all about today and what's going on in our community."
Sister Top 40/Mainstream KUJ (POWER 99.1) midday host SHAWNA SOLHEIM has been promoted to PD of 95.7 FUN FM. NNB traffic reporter STACEY BROOKS will host mornings.
