CHRISTIAN FAMILY RADIO Contemporary Christian WEMI/APPLETON-OSHKOSH and WEMY/GREEN BAY, WI recently wrapped up its 12TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CARE. This year's campaign had record-setting 2,800 decorated CHRISTMAS CARE shoe box gifts. The gifts were delivered to 40 area crisis agencies and hospital emergency rooms.
"CHRISTMAS CARE started as a good idea here at WEMI and WEMY radio but it's our extraordinary community, volunteers and sponsors who actually put legs on the campaign to make it as amazingly successful as it is. Sincere thanks to everyone who filled a shoe box, inspected, sorted and delivered them, and to the emergency shelter and hospital staff members who will now place them in the hands of the needy. We're especially pleased that we were able to fulfill all of the special requests from shelters for gifts for teens and adult men who are often forgotten at CHRISTMAS," said CHRISTMAS CARE coordinator HEIDI PRAHL.
