CITADEL announces which stations it's putting into a trust for temporary operation and possible divestiture, and the list of 11 stations includes:
Sports WWLS-F (THE SPORTS ANIMAL) and Regional Mexican KINB (LA GRAN D)/OKLAHOMA CITY (the AM sides of the WWLS-A-F and KINB-WKY-A simulcasts stay with CITADEL), Talk KARN-F, and Gospel KPZK-F and KVLO (PRAISE) (but, again, the AM simulcast partners KARN-A and KPZK-A stay with CITADEL), Adult Alternative WCLZ and Alternative WCYI/PORTLAND, ME (WCYI simulcast partner WCYY stays), Urban AC KNEK-F (MAGIC 104)/LAFAYETTE, LA (the AM side stays), Classic Rock WYLZ (WHEELZ 104.5 AND 101)/SAGINAW (simulcast WILZ stays), Classic Rock KBZU (THE BUZZARD)/ALBUQUERQUE, and Urban AC WMGL (MAGIC 101.7)/CHARLESTON, SC.
The stations, being spun off as part of the company's purchase of ABC RADIO, are being transferred to the LAST BASTION STATION TRUST, headed by MEDIA VENTURE PARTNERS' ELIOT EVERS, and will be operated separately with the option of EVERS selling them should a sale be required as a condition of the ABC deal.
