  R&R's annual TALK RADIO SEMINAR concluded its three-day run in WASHINGTON on SATURDAY with its awards ceremony, with ABC RADIO leading the awards winners, taking six. The complete list of winners:
  
  Local personality: KFI-A/LOS ANGELES' JOHN AND KEN and KGO-A/SAN FRANCISCO's RONN OWENS (tie)
  Syndicated personality: PREMIERE's RUSH LIMBAUGH
  News Executive: CBS' HARVEY NAGLER
  PD: KGO's JACK SWANSON
  GM: WABC-A/NEW YORK's TIM MCCARTHY
  Station (markets 1-25): KGO
  Station (markets 26 plus): WLW-A/CINCINNATI
  News-Talk Executive: ABC's JOHN MCCONNELL
  Industry Executive: JONES' AMY BOLTON and ABC's JIM ROBINSON (tie)
  Opening with an entertaining speech and Q&A with a candid LIMBAUGH, the convention covered hot topics like the growing category of talk for women (with "BOB AND SHERI" co-host SHERI LYNCH stressing the "boatloads of money" her show and home station (WLNK/CHARLOTTE) are making with the format), the success of FM Talk (consultant WALTER SABO's annual panel, with WTOP-A-F/WASHINGTON's JIM FARLEY discussing the MARCH 30 launch of WASHINGTON POST RADIO, consulted by SABO), and HD RADIO (with HD DIGITAL RADIO ALLIANCE CEO PETER FERRARA hopeful that HD receivers will soon start appearing in cars but admitting that "we've got a long way to go").
