As 2009 came to a close, CMT marked its most-watched year ever and its ninth consecutive year of primetime growth. Music videos soared in the fourth quarter, reaching their highest viewing ever on the channel - up 43% over last year.
Highlights of 2009 included the CMT MUSIC AWARDS being the highest rated telecast of the year and "The Singing Bee" becoming the channel's highest rated series debut of all time. The fourth quarter is on pace to become the network's most-watched quarter, and CMT.com is on pace for the most-streamed year in history.
CMT is preparing for big year in 2010 with new episodes of "CMT Crossroads: JIMMY BUFFETT and ZAC BROWN BAND," CMT's "Invitation Only," "The Singing Bee" and "CMT Cribs." For more info on what's coming up, see www.cmt.com.
