At midnight on SUNDAY (3/6), LAZER BROADCASTING Hot AC KMHX (MIX 104.1)/SANTA ROSA, CA PD BRANDON BETTAR gave himself a birthday present by bumping up his signal power and taking over sister Country station KRPQ (Q-105) call letters and the 104.9 frequency. BETTAR tells ALL ACCESS, "SONOMA COUNTY'S 'NEW MIX 104.9' is now capable of penetrating buildings, alarm clock radios, and will cover more of SONOMA COUNTY that our competitors in SAN FRANCISCO."
BOB & SHERI continue in the mornings, as afternoon show host ATHENA exits for Country KHGE (BIG COUNTRY 102.7)/FRESNO (See story in today's NET NEWS). MIX 105 is currently running music and liners throughout the day from 10a on. Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement on the new ownership's future plans for the 104.1 frequency and staff changes at MIX 105.
Prior to the frequency change, BETTAR had already given his two week notice but agreed to stay on during the transition. BRANDON is currently seeking new opportunities in the SACRAMENTO AREA where he plans to join his "hot forensic scientist fianc'e" AMBER and live happily ever after. Reach out to BRANDON at bbettar@aol.com, or call his cell phone at 530-520-6605.
