MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS’ seven NORTHEAST WISCONSIN radio stations -- WTAQ-A, WNFL-A, WIXX, WNCY, WROE and WOZZ -- will join together for "Haitian Crisis Day," a Haitian relief effort on SATURDAY, JANUARY 23th from 10a-3p. This will be a continuous broadcast on WTAQ/WNFL, with the other stations joining the broadcast throughout the afternoon.
Personalities from all seven stations will take part in the in-studio broadcast, which will ask listeners to donate directly to the AMERICAN RED CROSS’ telephone, online and texting donation options. Station personalities and Red Cross representatives will also be at FESTIVAL FOODS NE Wisconsin locations accepting cash and check donations.
While MWC stations have joined together before for relief efforts following the SEPTEMBER 11th attacks and HURRICANE KATRINA, this is the first time all seven stations have taken part in a simulcast for such an effort.
