WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP, INC is selling noncommercial KWYA/ASTORIA, OR to OREGON PUBLIC BROADCASTING for $85,000.
The station, in OREGON's northwest corner, is a 200-watt Class A facility presently airing the seller's Contemporary Christian WAY-FM format.
KAKS Closes
JAY BUNYARD's CARROLL COUNTY BROADCASTING (HOG RADIO) has closed on the purchase of KAKS/HUNTSVILLE-FAYETTEVILLE, AR from DAVIDSON MEDIA ARKANSAS STATIONS LLC for $1.11 million. The buyer has been programming the station with its THE HOG SPORTSRADIO Sports format since announcing the deal.
MEDIA SERVICES GROUP's BILL WHITLEY served as exclusive broker for the transaction, representing the seller.
