Former UTV Sports-Talk TALKSPORT/LONDON host JON GAUNT is taking U.K. radio regulator OFCOM to court over the ruling that led to his firing. GAUNT, who moved on to host an online show for THE SUN, is challenging the OFCOM ruling that his comments calling a Councilor a "health Nazi" and an "ignorant pig" were violations of the Broadcasting Code.
GAUNT is asking the court to find that his rights to free speech have been violated by OFCOM's ruling. GAUNT was suspended, then fired for the comments made to and about REDBRIDGE Council's MICHAEL STARK regarding the council's ban on smokers being foster parents.
