RADIO DISNEY has taken some of its owned-and-operated stations silent and has asked the FCC for authority to remain silent while the stations are sold off. Among the filings are requests for silent STAs for KMUS-A/SPERRY, OK; KALY-A/LOS RANCHOS DE ALBUQUERQUE, NM; WCOG-A/GREENSBORO; WRJR-A and WHKT-A/PORTSMOUTH, VA; and WMNE-A/RIVIERA BEACH, FL.
Deals for WMNE and WHKT have already been filed with the FCC.
Also filed with the Commission was a request by SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS CHURCH OF LAGUNA NIGUEL to keep LPFM KXRN-LP/LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA silent while the church considers its options to find a solution to technical problems. The station has been restricted by zoning ordinances to installing its antenna inside a building.
