George Strait Postpones Two Shows This Weekend

King George Will Be Back In April

MCA/NASHVILLE star GEORGE STRAIT's shows with VALORY/STARSTRUCK's REBA McENTIRE and labelmate LEE ANN WOMACK have been postponed this weekend in KNOXVILLE (1/29) and CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (1/30) due to inclement weather predictions.

The KNOXVILLE show will now be held APRIL 2nd at THOMPSON BOLING ARENA, and the CHARLOTTESVILLE show will take place APRIL 3rd at JOHN PAUL JONES ARENA. Forecasters in KNOXVILLE are predicting 6 or more inches of snow on top of freezing rain, and CHARLOTTESVILLE meteorologists are anticipating the possibility of double that amount.

STRAIT said: "Due to our concern for the safety of our fans and crew, we are rescheduling shows this weekend. We regret the change but it's best to take all the necessary precautions."
