A METRO NETWORKS plane reporting traffic for CBS RADIO News KYW-A and CBS O&O KYW-TV (CBS 3)/PHILADELPHIA made an emergency landing on the NEW JERSEY TURPIKE during rush hour MONDAY morning (2/1). The CESSNA plane, leased by METRO from OUT OF THE BLUE, INC., landed on the TURNPIKE's northbound lanes near CHERRY HILL, NJ at about 6:45a ET.
Neither the pilot, FRANK VOGT, nor reporter MIKE LANFORD were injured in the incident, which caused a backup of several miles on the highway.
