A group including TV producer HAIM SABAN, MEXICO's GRUPO TELEVISA, VENEZUELA's VENEVISION, PROVIDENCE EQUITY PARTNERS, and MADISON DEARBORN PARTNERS is preparing to bid $12 billion for UNIVISION, according to a report in the NEW YORK POST. VENEVISION and TELEVISA presently own 24% of UNIVISION, the Spanish-language TV and radio giant; TELEVISA is suing UNIVISION in a programming license fee dispute.
