NAB Pres./CEO DAVID REHR told the AMERICAN WOMEN IN RADIO AND TELEVISION's Leadership Summit FRIDAY that he intends to put his organization's lobbying in WASHINGTON on the offense. "Instead of reacting," REHR asserted, "broadcasters are going to be proactive. We're going to take the fight to those that want to undermine our business."
REHR said that he plans to continue EDDIE FRITTS' campaign for "government-neutral" rules for broadcast and satellite radio, asking for the same regulation for both, and criticizing SIRIUS and XM for taking advantage of not being regulated and also promoting HOWARD STERN and giving away free receivers and service.
