NORTHEAST BROADCASTING's WHITE PARK BROADCASTING gets a waiver from the FCC to buy Talk WVAA-A/BURLINGTON from RADIO VERMONT, LLC for $400,000.
The waiver, which the buyer initially said was unnecessary, then requested, then said was unnecessary again, gives NORTHEAST ten stations in the market, but was granted because the other nine stations, grandfathered under previous market definition rules, are now split between the BURLINGTON and new MONTPELIER-BARRE-WATERBURY and LEBANON-RUTLAND-WHITE RIVER JUNCTION metros.
