Long-time super-agent JIM HALSEY, who eventually sold his company and founded the JIM HALSEY INSTITUTE in 1990, has authored a book called “Starmaker.” HALSEY’s new organization “focuses on helping others pursue their dreams in the music industry.”
The book, published by TATE PUBLISHING and ENTERPRISES, will be released later this month. It discusses the fundamentals of developing an act, from building an audience, to getting an agent and everything else in between.
During his career as an agent some of the artists that HALSEY worked with include The OAK RIDGE BOYS, REBA McENTIRE, HANK THOMPSON, WAYLON JENNINGS, LEE GREENWOOD, ROY ORBISON, DWIGHT YOAKAM and others.
