WIJY Polka Stunting Turns To Oldies

ALL ACCESS told you earlier this week (NET NEWS 9/19) that on SUNDAY (9/18), Christian WIJY/FRANKLIN, IN began airing Polka music. As of 7a on WEDNESDAY (9/21) WIJY officially flipped to Oldies under the moniker GOLD 95.9 playing hits from the greatest artists of the 1950's through the 70's including ELVIS PRESLEY, THE BEATLES, THE BEACH BOYS and THE SUPREMES.

All staff from the former WIJY have been reassigned within the company and the station which is owned by PILGRIM COMMUNICATIONS is currently being operated under an LMA by RAVEN BROADCASTING. The new WIJY management team looks like this; taking over the PD spot is DON RILEY, GM RANDY TIPMORE remains in the same position and RUSS DODGE picks up the GSM reigns in addition to his current GM/GSM duties at Sports/Talk sister ESPN 950.

6a-10a -- JEREMY JAMES & WENDY CARROLL
10a-3p -- STEVE RICH
3p-7p -- DR. DON RILEY (with special guest appearances by SCOTT "RECORDS" RODDY)
7p-mid -- "TRUCKIN" TOM KENT
