Morning show presenter (on-air personality) GRANT GOLDMAN of SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA’s legendary AM station, 2SM, was surprised by singer JASMINE RAE and CMA (COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION) Board member ROB POTTS with the award for this year’s CMA International Country Broadcaster. GOLDMAN was interviewing JASMINE and thought she was there solely to promote the new deluxe edition of her album, “Look It Up.”
GOLDMAN’s show on 2SM is syndicated to 33 stations on the SUPER RADIO NETWORK. Throughout his three decades in radio, he has been a strong supporter of Country music. Although his show plays a variety of musical styles, he has been known to program nearly 20 percent of his shows with Country music. He also frequently invites Country artists to perform and be interviewed on the air.
GOLDMAN said: "I am truly surprised and thrilled to receive this Award. It's a real boost for me to realize the industry DOES recognize what I'm trying to achieve and I'm now even more motivated! Thank you CMA Board!"
