The COLON CANCER ALLIANCE has announced the addition of artists MIKE SNIDER, WADE HAYES and BILL MILLER to the lineup for the “Stars Go Blue For Colon Cancer” event to be held MARCH 23rd at 7p (CT) at the LOVELESS BARN in NASHVILLE. The show will also feature songwriters RODNEY CROWELL, GRETCHEN PETERS, MIKE REID, BARRY WALSH and PETER COOPER.
The evening was inspired by CHARLIE KELLEY, who was diagnosed and treated for colon cancer at the age of 40 in 2008 only three weeks after his wife NAN KELLEY, a host on GAC, successfully completed treatment for lymphoma. After this life changing experience, they resolved to advocate for screenings and help others battling with the disease. NAN will host this year’s event and CHARLIE will join in for writers’ round for a special appearance.
Event tickets are available at www.ccalliance.org, and the LOVELESS BARN box office the day of the show. General admission is $35. Exclusive blue ribbon tables are also available for $500. Proceeds will benefit the COLON CANCER ALLIANCE and the BLUE NOTE FUND, which was founded by CHARLIE and gives monetary gifts to colon cancer patients in need.
The 2009 “Stars Go Blue For Colon Cancer” DVD featuring VINCE GILL, AMY GRANT, RICKY SKAGGS, HAL KETCHUM and more is also available at www.ccalliance.org.
