WBUR Wins Education Reporting Award

BOSTON UNIVERSITY noncommercial News-Talk WBUR/BOSTON has won First Prize in the EDUCATION WRITERS ASSOCIATION's Education Reporting Awards for 2010.  The station's DEBORAH BECKER and MONICA BRADY MYEROV won the award for "Project Dropouts."  Noncommercial WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK's BETH FERTIG came in second with "Adding It UP" and LANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE noncommercial KLCC/EUGENE, OR's "Special Issues: Education" and public radio's "MARKETPLACE" segment on "Allegations of Enrollment Abuses at UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX" were given special citations.

WBUR also took second place in the Multimedia category for "Project Dropouts."  The awards will be presented on MAY 15th at SAN FRANCISCO's HOTEL KABUKI.
