What does a radio legend do when he decides to call it a career? For WOMC/DETROIT on-air icon DICK PURTAN, after his final broadcast on FRIDAY, he finally gets to sleep late and enjoy other aspects of his life.

According to the DETROIT FREE PRESS, he will devote a lot more attention to his website, DickPurtan.com, where he'll start his own blog. He'll also have the time to write a book about his 45-year radio career.

Above all though, he'll spend a lot more time with his wife and extended family.
