Fans Pay Nearly A Million Dollars To Eat Lunch With Reba

VALORY/STARSTRUCK artist REBA McENTIRE returned as the host of CELEBRITY FIGHT NIGHT XVI on MARCH 20th at the JW MARRIOTT DESERT RESORT & SPA in PHOENIX. She will also the big ticket auction item that evening with three fans bidding nearly $1 million to have lunch with her, according to THE BOOT blog. The $900,000 bid was made by BILL AUSTIN of THE STARKEY HEARING FOUNDATION, BOB PARSONS of GODADDY and philanthropist WALTER SCOTT.

Overall the event raised a total of $5 million for the MUHAMMED ALI PARKINSON CENTER at BARROW NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE. MUHAMMED ALI, GLENN FREY of THE EAGLES, WAYLON JENNINGS’ widow JESSI COLTER, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, DAVID FOSTER, DANICA PATRICK, MELISSA PETERMAN and RANDY JACKSON also appeared.

REBA did a duet of “Me and BOBBY McGEE” onstage with KRISTOFFERSON. KRISTOFFERSON also joined COLTER on a duet for ALI. 

COLTER said: "WAYLON wrote the song but he never got to perform it for anyone except the Champ."
